'Y GRIBIN' features as the opening dps page in The Great Outdoors (TGO) magazine
Dawn light illuminates the upper reaches of Y Gribin on its ascent from Cwm Bochlwyd up onto Glyder Fach as early morning cloud, coloured pink by the rising sun, lifts and swirls tantalisingly above its narrow rocky ridgeline. This image was taken with a long lens from neighbouring Pen yr Ole Wen across the Ogwen Valley. Y Gribin is one of Eryri’s classic but easier and fun Grade 1 scrambles, considered an excellent introduction for those walkers wishing to test their scrambling skills before tackling more serious routes. The ridge offers those taking up the challenge, outstanding views out over Tryfan, into Cwm Idwal and across the Ogwen Valley.
