This image features Flakstad Church below the bulk of Flakstadtind mountain viewed across Flakstadpollen Fjord in the Lofoten Islands. It was only 3pm, but already the lengthy Arctic twilight was fading fast and this image was made in almost total darkness. The floodlit church at Flakstad served as the perfect partner to demonstrate the sheer scale of the surrounding mountains.
