This is Cwm Idwal in the heart of the Glyderau Mountains and in stormy, inclement weather, it can seem a forbidding place... but this can be magical for landscape photography. The rear wall of Cwm Idwal is known as 'The Devil's Kitchen' and in such conditions it is easy to image old Lucifer himself whipping up the winds and oppressive storm clouds into a cauldron frenzy!
