Travel
"The world is a big place" - How many times have you heard this statement?
Whilst perhaps a lifetime ago this was true, the explosion in air travel over the last two decades has enabled even those on a modest budget to journey to the otherside of the world.
The images here portray a tiny aspect of other cultures and environments.
We hope this short journey will provide the armchair traveller with a small insight into the amazing place that is "Planet Earth".

BEACH ENCOUNTER
The Gambia is perhaps the friendliest country in Africa.
These ladies parade up and down the golden sandy beach of Kololi from morning till night, selling fruit they have harvested from the jungle.
Happily posing for a photograph, their enigmatic smiles convey a heartfelt welcome that only the Gambian people can offer.
