Rural Britain
Britain is a country blessed with an abundance of truly remarkable locations and to capture even a small part of its beauty and tranquillity can indeed be considered an achievement.
From the stunning vistas encountered within our National Parks to the coastal splendour found at every twist and turn along our shores, capturing the essence of Britain can be considered a "Labour of Love".
These 15 images offer a small insight into the delights to be discovered throughout our magnificent country and attempts in no way to offer more than a taste of that available.
To see more........ is a worthwhile journey of discovery that we can all make.

LONE ROWAN
This image shows the peak of Shutlingsloe, known locally as "Cheshire's Matterhorn" seen from just north of The Roaches escarpment in the adjacent county of Staffordshire.
The presence of the lone Rowan tree in the foreground, reinforced with a heather clad hillside, tell's us that it was taken as summer gives way to autumn.
Sweeping vista's like this require a foreground element to anchor the scene and provide a feeling of depth to the image.
This has the affect of leading any viewer on a "tour" through the image.
Again an interesting sky is important to hold the image together, and a heavy graduate ND filter has only just coped with the extreme contrast between sky and hillside.
