Atmospheric
This section of the GALLERY is devoted to that so easily overused term "Atmospheric Images"
And indeed it is no accident, that the images portrayed in this collection were all taken at the beginning or end of the day or "The Golden Hour" as it is known to most photographers.
For it is both the first and the final hour of daylight that produces the most attractive light and the finest of conditions to fully appreciate all that nature has created.

DAWN EXTRAVAGANZA
Autumn is the season for spectacles like this.
Here near Bunbury, cool morning air travels downhill towards the waiting warmer waters of the River Gowy in a process known as Katabatic flow.
As the two air masses unite, the colder air condenses creating a rolling blanket of mist and fog that seemingly dances and shivers in the predawn light.
When conditions are right, this demonstration of nature’s beauty is duplicated countless times throughout our remarkable country, as the sun begins its slow but certain climb towards a distant horizon.
