National Parks
The National Parks of Great Britain contain some of the most outstanding features of our countryside. The highest mountain, deepest lake, sweeping hillsides and rugged coastlines... they are quite simply the UK's "breathing spaces."
Most of the UK population live within 2 hours drive of at least one National Park and they are a mecca for walkers, mountain bikers and of course... landscape photographers!
The images in this section of the Gallery concentrate mainly upon those National Parks in the north of England and Wales... namely:

A SECOND GLANCE
Cockley Beck is an isolated little community set high up on the Wynrose Pass.
Most people transit this delightful single arched stone bridge en-route to Hardknott Roman Fort without giving it a second glance.
That of course, is the beauty of being a landscape photographer. We rare breed like to explore where others may merely pass by.
So it was on this occasion where the irresistable charm of white stone cottages, neatly arched bridge and rushing beck demanded more than a second glance.
By combining a polariser with ND filter here, I managed to slow the exposure down enough to show movement in the rushing water. The delightful sky was an added bonus.
